Assistant Director of Children & Family Ministry Job - Lifepath Church, Houston, Texas

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, children and family ministry, or related field preferred. Experience working with children and families in an educational environment and experience_noemailanizing and implementing curriculum required. Strong_noemailanizational, time management, and interpersonal skills are required.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and oversee Sunday morning activities
Supervise large children's ministry events such as VBS, Christmas Pageant, Palm Sunday
Evaluate the effectiveness of the current security and safety measures to ensure the most effective and secure system exists to meet the highest standards for our children
Meet regularly with supervisors and work closely with church and program staff and volunteers
Engage parents and children, identify and address their needs
Assist the Director in developing curriculum activities and supervise their implementation
Assist the Director in the development of a yearly budget. Track the budget for children's ministry and childcare expenses
Maintain supplies and/or curriculum for each area of the ministry
Facilitate regular and ongoing_noemailmunication with volunteers and parents regarding schedules, events and changes
Coordinate childcare via the childcare supervisor at any events outside of Sunday morning
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop goals and objectives for the ministry which align with the overall strategy of the church
Assess the needs of the ministry, effectiveness of its programs and the climate of the members with children involved in the ministry
Serve as a support to the Children and Family Ministry Volunteer staff- offering motivation, training, encouragement and guidance as needed
Actively participate in the events, activities, and programs of the children and family ministry
Facilitate meetings, as needed, between volunteers and childcare workers
Assist in development of the annual calendar of events and activities
Partner with the Youth Pastor to coordinate efforts and establish continuity between the two ministries
Coordinate all programs related to the discipleship of children and their families and any special events relevant to children and their families
Recruit and train volunteers to serve in the children and family ministry
Pray continually for the ministry
