Director of Worship Music

College Park United Methodist Church is actively seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Director of Worship Music to join our ministry team. This neighborhood church is located in the heart of the beautiful_noemailmunity of College Park near downtown Orlando.
The successful candidate for this position will lead by example through a passion for worship, vibrant prayer life, humility and grounding in the Word of God. Primary responsibilities include leading Sunday worship music, conducting rehearsals for Sunday worship band and youth band, and collaboratively planning worship services with worship planning team. A spiritual leader who can build a robust music program and who enjoys working with youth and children best describes our ideal candidate.
Additional Key Attributes and experience are as follows:
* At least three years' experience as a worship leader preferred
* Current Orlando area resident preferred
* Musical skills and talents including strong vocals and an ability to play piano/keyboard for use in worship
* Lead, direct, teach, recruit and rehearse for youth band, praise team and hand bell choir
* Able to plan, prepare, and lead worship service
* Experience with children/youth ministries
* Knowledge of contemporary, praise and traditional church music
* Connect and engage with the congregation
* Empower congregation to respond to music
* Enjoy a collaborative atmosphere under the leadership of the Pastor and alongside the worship planning team
* Good_noemailmunication skills

Compensation
* Part-time, salaried – 20 hours with potential for increase
* Salary_noemailmensurate with education and experience
