River of Life is in the_noemailmunity of Trapper Creek, Alaska. The church is not able to pay a salary. Candidates must be able to support themselves or raise missionary support. The church owns a usable building and land and has no debt. The church has a mobile home for a parsonage, but that needs extensive work.
Several years ago, River of Life had a congregation of about 45 and was very active. The congregation had dwindled and the church was closed last winter. We recently started services again, but the congregation is very small at this point.
We are looking for someone with the vision to help the church begin again and build it into the effective part of the kingdom of God that it has been previously.
Trapper Creek is a_noemailmunity of about 600 people located about 115 miles north of Anchorage. Employment is limited, but some opportunities are available. We would prefer someone who has experience working in a small rural area. Music skills would be helpful. Building skills would also be a plus.
Used by churches all over the world to help teach worship, the Experiencing Worship study can help your worship team too.
Your team will learn why we worship and gain a better understanding of how to worship.
