Summary:
The Lead Pastor has primary responsibility for preaching and teaching, leading a team-based ministry with the elders and staff,_noemailmunicating vision, and shepherding the church.
Qualifications:
Consistent, growing Christ Follower
Masters of Divinity (M.Div) preferred.
Demonstrated ministry leadership experience suitable for a lead pastor position.
Ability to preach, teach, and_noemailmunicate effectively in large and small groups.

The Lead Pastor is to use his experience, spiritual gifts, and natural talents to serve and honor God in the midst of our_noemailmunity in the following ways:
The Lead Pastor will serve as the primary preacher in the church. He will also take opportunities beyond the pulpit to teach biblical doctrine and principles in support of the church's statement of faith. He will present the Gospel as the opportunity arises, and invite those prepared by the Spirit to_noemailmit their lives to Christ. He will disciple new believers, encourage mentoring relationships for their continued spiritual growth, and plan for the acclimation and integration of new attendees into church life. When reasonable and helpful he will visit church attendees in workplaces, homes, and hospitals. He will promote personal and corporate prayer, develop leaders, and empower them to use their gifts for advancing the Kingdom of God.
In his administrative role the Lead Pastor will serve as a "leader among equals" with the church elders to provide what is needed for the church to be a restorative_noemailmunity. He will lead regular staff meetings, coordinate efficiently with the Office Administrator, and oversee and encourage staff in their spiritual lives and duties. He will also pursue his own spiritual and professional development.
He will consult with and advise the worship team leader to plan meaningful worship experiences, and will participate with the Associate Pastor in pastoral care. He will work with the Children's Ministries Director to promote teaching and programs that equip and inspire parents to model and impart biblical values to their children. He will oversee and assign performance of weddings and funerals.
The Lead Pastor will also represent the church in the larger Body of Christ and in the_noemailmunity. He will b_noemaile strategically involved in civic life in order to connect the church to the_noemailmunity, and will model Jesus' values in contemporary, everyday life. He will love and lead his own family in a manner that promotes their spiritual life.
