Community Bible Church (CBC) is affiliated with the Assemblies of God (AG), the largest Pentecostal_noemailanization within Christianity. With an average attendance of almost 350, it is one of the largest AG churches in the state of Vermont. What birthed out of AG tent meetings in 1945, is today, a thriving and growing_noemailanism that seeks to impact the surrounding region and the world around them.

Community Bible Church is rich in history and vision for the future. The church recognizes that culture is ever changing, but the Gospel never changes. The vision of CBC is evident in how they function and approach ministry from a family perspective, it is "to build strong, healthy, generational families, where one generation is passing down to the next generation a strong foundation of the Christian faith."

In a modem time where it is easy to be stagnate, CBC looks to the future as a time of pre-visioning and purpose. CBC fully believes that "the best has yet to_noemaile". The year started with a season of intense prayer and refocusing on what God has for the church body, and CBC is looking to fully grasp what God has next.

The Next Gen Pastor will report to the lead pastor and the responsibilities will be to oversee the children's, student, and young adult ministries. This individual will bear sole responsibility for strategic input and operational management pertaining to each ministry, while developing teams of leaders among volunteers, parents, and students.

This individual will be an effective builder and administrator of ministries, a developer of leaders, and an influencer of all students, from children young adults. It is the desire of the church to see children, students, and young adults worshiping, growing and serving Christ.

The Next Gen Pastor will be most directly involved in the planning, programming, and execution of the youth ministry as they oversee all aspects of family ministries at Community Bible Church.

This individual will have a clear calling to the ministry of the next generation. They will be passionate about reaching these students, partnering with parents, and creating programming that is purposed to progress the spiritual journey of each that_noemaile into contact with the ministry. They will possess a strong gifting in both verbal and written_noemailmunication, to effectively lead, engage, and recruit. They will thrive in an environment that is fast-paced, and creative, with a whole-hearted willingness to contribute to progression of the ministry within the context of the vision of Community Bible Church.

Located between the shores of Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains, South Burlington was first chartered in 1865. Home to approximately 18,000 residents, the City supports a vibrant hospitality, retail, medical, and corporate business_noemailmunity with regional and national reach. South Burlington is known for the excellence of public schools and recreational opportunities, dedicated city services, and livable neighborhoods. Situated in close proximity to the city of Burlington, it is the 4th largest city in Vermont, and a regional leader in recreation, education, and business. The greater Burlington area beckons with the perfect blend of old New England charm, arts, culture, and nature. During the spring and summer, the streets_noemaile alive with festivals and outdoor concert. The residents take advantage of the warm weather to enjoy the many parks, campgrounds, beaches and bike paths. In the fall, the area is bustling with leaf-peepers who_noemaile to enjoy the vibrant autumn colors. In winter, people lace up their skates and head to skating venues or grab their skis and head to the nearby resorts. Vermonters proudly boast that Vermont is ranked first overall in the "2016 Safest States in America."

CBC is one of 25 AG churches in Vermont. Vermont is known for being the least churched state in America, which strongly affects all ministry that takes place within the state and CBC on varying factors. Having a strong established church environment can be difficult to cultivate in an area where it isn't encouraged. While Vermont is very rural and lowly populated, South Burlington, the home location of the church and the population of the town is roughly around 18,000. Other surrounding towns have populations very close to these. Location is important to the approach of ministry that takes place at CBC.

Community Bible Church is culturally diverse, with people that have moved from over 20 nations. CBC is intentional about how they plug in people that had to relocate from their home nations to Vermont. With using the love of Jesus, CBC hopes to help every individual find a home within their building and_noemailmunity. The intercultural ministry department exists to celebrate diversity and bring unity to the church body.
