Director of Music Ministry Job - First United Methodist Church, Round Rock, Texas

The 4,000 member First United Methodist Church of Round Rock, Texas (North Austin) seeks a full-time Director of Music Ministry. Applicants should have a dynamic and growing Christian faith, have familiarity with Methodist doctrine, possess outstanding musical skills, strong people-skills, versatility in a variety of styles, and be a team player with other program ministry staff.

The ministry includes 2 adult choirs, 2 praise teams, 7 handbell choirs, an orchestra, youth choir, and a children's choir. Special vocal and instrumental ensembles also share regularly in service and key events. Music Ministry participation is approximately 400. Staff working alongside the Director of Music Ministry includes a full-time handbell director with part-time assistant, as well as a part-time_noemailanist, pianist, praise team leader, youth choir director, children's choir director, and orchestra director.

Applicants should have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Music (Master's preferred), be_noemailfortable conducting choirs and orchestra, and have demonstrated expertise in cultivating children's and youth music ministry. The Round Rock area is growing rapidly so there are great opportunities for growth in our ministry. Compensation package is_noemailpetitive.
