Music Director Job - Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church, Glen Mills, Pennsylvania

The Music Director is a part-time position (25-30 Hours per week) dedicated to Concord Liberty's Music Ministry, with both the praise team and the choir. The Music Director will maintain a deep_noemailmitment to the spiritual and musical needs of the church working through both contemporary and traditional music to strengthen the church body. The successful candidate must have the necessary interpersonal and musical skills to implement this program, while enhancing the skills of the participants.

This position reports directly to the Head of Staff and is also under the counsel and evaluation of the Worship Committee and the Personnel Committee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and coordinate the choral program used during the traditional Worship service (anthem, introit and any special offerings), ensuring that all musical aspects of the service advance the theme that the Pastor has set for the day.
Coordinate with the praise team and Pastor to select and implement the music for the contemporary service.
Arrive in a timely manner prior to worship ensure all preparations are_noemailplete.
Direct choral selections during the traditional service and lead the praise team in contemporary service.
Recruit, nurture, train and direct the choir and the praise team.
Prepare special presentations of music such as those at Christmas, Easter and at other times that would be suitable for the overall enhancement of the music program of the church.
Schedule, and lead weekly rehearsals for the choir and praise team.
Prepare Goals and Objectives based on Worship Committee objectives.
Attend monthly Worship Committee meeting (typically the fourth Tuesday night of each month).
Attend staff meetings as scheduled by Head of Staff.
Work within the budget for the music program established by the Worship Committee.
Understand and ensure we meet the CCLI standards for music presented in worship.
Select and purchase music as required and within budget.
