Set the vision for youth ministry (in-line with NEC's mission) with a plan to carry it out.
Develop and lead programs according to the youth ministry vision.
Recruit and train volunteer leaders to help own and carry out the vision.
Meet regularly with your volunteers and staff
Build into your team with consistent training and equipping
Provide annual training opportunities: events, classes or conferences for your team
Build and maintain relationships with kids both churched and unchurched.
Build and maintain quality relationships with parents.
Clearly share your vision with parents so they understand the goal of NEC's YM.
Create avenues of consistent contact with parents (regular e-newsletters, annual parent meetings, etc.)

Network with other youth workers through Cros_noemail for support and idea sharing.
Set and oversee the youth ministry budget.
Involve students in the ministry of the church as a whole, supporting and participating in the church's vision, worship services, and activities.
Attend weekly church staff meeting and regular supervisory meeting with FM Director.
Oversee Young Adult Ministry (20%)
Come alongside existing volunteers and efforts to understand where we are at
Research, plan and implement the vision, goals and ministry to young adults within and beyond the walls of NEC.
ID and develop young adult volunteer leaders.
Other Duties
Attend weekly church staff meeting participating fully as a NEC staff team member.
Solid Faith
At least 3 years of Youth Ministry experience
Ability to learn and adapt to NEC's style and vision
A self-starter, highly motivated
Has a passion for youth ministry
Understands youth culture today
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player with effective relational skills (works well with others)
