Job Description:


We are looking for a candidate who has: A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ; a deep love for and_noemailmitment to the scriptures as the inspired, infallible Word of God; a servant's heart and exhibits a selfless spirit; integrity and humility exemplified in speech and conduct; an unequivocal call to the gospel ministry and an understanding of Scripture. Qualifications include, but are not limited to 1Timothy 3 and Titus 1, 2 and 3. Candidate must be an overseer of God's household, whose own house is in order.

We are praying and expect our next Senior Pastor will: Preach and expound God's Word wholeheartedly and skillfully; cultivate a grace-oriented, gospel-rich focus in the pulpit; help discern, effectively_noemailmunicate, and implement God's vision for PGBC; show leadership and team-building proficiency, with demonstrated ability to encourage and work cooperatively with pastoral and other leaders; show a dedicated interest in knowing and relating to church members; shepherd people who_noemaile from a wide spectrum of beliefs, ages, and backgrounds; lead PGBC to proactive engagement with our changing culture; show_noemailmitment to local and international gospel outreach. 

Qualifications:

The Senior Pastor must also: Visit members and lead the membership in the service of visitation; supervise or assign supervision of other members of the church staff according to staff organization; conduct premarital, family, bereavement, counseling sessions, etc., as needed (Seek and/or recommend other professional help when necessary.); perform wedding ceremonies and conduct funeral services; work with deacons, church officers, and committees in performing assigned responsibilities; be available for and lead in training as needed; serve as the leader in seeking to win the unsaved and un-enlisted; lead the membership in soul-winning training; and act as moderator for church business meetings.

We expect that our next Senior Pastor will: Be ordained; have an accredited college seminary Degree; or a minimum of five years experience as a Senior or Associate Pastor at a small to medium church.
