Worship Arts Leader/ Youth Pastor Job - Christ Church Murrells Inlet, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina

Christ Church is an Anglican Church in Murrells Inlet, SC. Our average Sunday attendance is 115, and our service is contemporary. We are looking for a full-time team member who is ready to jump in and join the mission God has given Christ Church of reaching people among the thousands who live in the neighborhoods adjacent to the church building. In many ways Christ Church is being replanted, and the candidate must be excited by the opportunity to build the church in this_noemailmunity, especially through the worship ministry and youth ministry. The ideal candidate will be a passionate worshipper, will have successful experience leading worship in a church, and will be riveted by the opportunity to reach our local_noemailmunity and pastor our teens faithfully.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Worship Leader (approximately 20 hours)
The Worship Arts Leader position creates opportunities and environments for Christ Church attendees to worship God together in Spirit and truth. It is essential that this person embody a "prepared" passion for team-led worship and exemplifies a_noemailmitment to the concept of a healthy local church.

Lead musical worship for church services
Execute all administrative elements of Sunday worship and other events with excellence (recruit, train and schedule all service volunteers, maintain equipment, build all media, create a sacred environment, etc.)
Partner closely with the Senior Pastor in worship planning and evaluation to creatively engage the hearts and minds of the congregation in worship

Youth Pastor (approximately 15 hours)
The Youth Pastor position creates opportunities and environments to reach and pastor teens as well as empower and partner with parents in shepherding their teens towards a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. It is essential that this person has a calling on his/her life to reach the next generation of teens.

Vision for the youth ministry to reach teens in the_noemailmunity and pastor them towards life-long faith
Create an engaging and meaningful weekly youth group experience
Empower and partner with parents in raising their teens in the faith

Additional Opportunities (5-10 Hours)
This position provides creative space for additional ministry opportunities depending upon the gifting and passion of the individual who joins the team. Examples could include (but are not limited to)_noemailmunication, outreach initiatives, small groups, etc.

FULL-TIME: Dual Portfolio (Worship Arts Leader and Youth Pastor)

EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND WORK-RELATED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (in related field is preferable)
4+ years of experience in leading congregational worship
Experience with Pro Presenter and Microsoft Office helpful
Experience in youth ministry necessary
This position is open to clergy and non-clergy

COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Compensation will be_noemailmensurate with experience and will include medical, retirement, and vacation time. Salary range available upon request.
