Director of Child Development Center Job - First Baptist Church Garland, Garland, Texas

Summary: To provide overall leadership and vision for the Child Development Center (full-day, year-round center)

Qualifications:
* Evidence of being a devoted follower of Christ with a_noemailmitment to growing and maintaining an unapologetically Christian program
* AA or BA in Child Development and/or Business Management from an accredited university
* A Director's license from the State of Texas, or the ability to obtain a license
* Experience as a director or assistant director in a similar program
* Strong_noemailmunication and interpersonal skills necessary for working with school and church staff, CDC board, and families
* General_noemailputer, accounting,and administrative knowledge
* Heart for ministry
* Visionary and entrepreneurial

General Responsibilities:
* Work with the Minister of Preschool to set the vision and direction of the Child Development Center, with a vision for growth
* Develop and manage the CDC budget to enhance growth potential and scholarship opportunities
* Hire, train, and supervise staff with a goal of enhancing the professional and educational standards and skills of center employees
* Provide age appropriate, quality, Christian curriculum
* Know and maintain the minimum standards required by law
* Oversee the publicizing of the CDC
* Minister to families and staff
* Coordinate outreach in conjunction with overall church efforts
* Maintain professional awareness and expertise in the field
