Director of Children's Ministries
Job Description:
Fort Mill Church of God has an immediate opening for a Director of Children's Ministries. Responsibities: * The foundation of discipleship, worship, stewardship and creative direction to the Children's Ministry Department, birth through 5th grade. * Providing a safe learning and worship environment. * The strategic direction for children's programs, consistent with the Vision and Mission of the church. * Budget Management. * Age appropriate Biblical learning methods basic to the doctrines of the Christian faith, facilitate spiritual growth in Christ, and foster a strong sense of_noemailmunity with the local church family. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide leadership, training and service opportunities for volunteer worship leaders, teachers, and support staff. * Recruit, train, coordinate, motivate and supervise all volunteers. * Review, evaluate and r_noemailmend curriculum, programs, operational guidelines and educational policies. * Develop, supervise and coordinate newborn to preschool services and programs. * Develop and coordinate programs for_noemailmunity involvement (i.e., Vacation Bible School. * Be a resource for our parents with special needs such as: Home schooling, Mother's day out, parenting classes. * Perform other duties as required. Will be self-directed and personable . Education and Experience: College degree and experience in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and/or Christian Education is preferred. Creative/Fine arts and ministerial experience, while not required, are highly valued. Strong skills in administration are required. Being or b_noemailing a member of the Church of God in good standing (endorses the Statement of Faith of the Church of God, tithing and our Doctrinal Commitments, and models a strong Christian life to our people and_noemailmunities) is required.
