Director of Music and Worship
Community Christian Church of NYC is seeking an experienced person to join our team as a part-time Director of Music and Worship. We are looking for someone who shares our general beliefs and philosophy and will b_noemaile part of our congregation.
We are making a transition from a part-time worship/band leader to a part-time Director of Music and Worship. Thus, the ministry description is being developed and will be finalized in partnership with the person hired.
Overview
The Director of Music and Worship will be the primary worship leader on Sundays; selecting songs, leading rehearsals, providing music, etc. Our music style is contemporary. Our band consists of keyboard, digital audio workstation, bass, drums, and vocalists. Past experience leading that type of band is required. The ability to lead vocally is also essential.
In addition to being the primary worship leader, we are looking for someone who can recruit musicians and another creative talent, develop new worship leaders, and foster team grow.
The Director of Music and Worship will actively participate in the planning of the weekly worship service, special worship services (Christmas and Easter) and special events incorporating other creative arts elements into the services and events.
Salary and vacation will be_noemailmensurate with experience, final job description, and hours agreed upon. We intend to adequately_noemailpensation for the above items.
Community Christian Church is a nondenominational Bible based church located in Manhattan. Our average attendance is 110. We are a multiethnic church with people born in ten different countries attending on a typical Sunday. We would like to have that diversity expressed in our services.
