Youth Pastor
Job Description:
Primary Objectives and Expectations: The Youth Pastor will have the primary responsibility for the high school students at Immanuel's Church. To that end, the Youth Pastor is expected to:
1. Introduce middle and high school students to Christ
2. Increase the knowledge of the Bible
3. Guide high school students in the practical applications of Biblical principles ushering them to spiritual growth
4. Continually inspire students to_noemailmit the rest of their adult life serving Jesus Christ
5. Mentoring youth leaders as well as other volunteer leaders in areas of personal discipleship, evangelism and works of service
6. Partner with parents or guardians in raising their teenagers to a wholesome maturity
Accountability:
- Program oversight, Cultural Diversity, Program Development & Coordination
- Administration and Communication, Leadership Development, Evangelism and Partnering with Parents.
- Attend weekly meetings with volunteer leadership for prayer and planning
- Attend bi-weekly monthly feedback session with Director of Ministry Development, Children's and Youth Ministries
Qualifications:
- Has a minimum of three years of experience in working with youth in various capacities
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience recruiting/training disciple youth workers and volunteer leaders
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, as they must communicate with a variety of people, including pastors, youth, parents and community members. They must be comfortable speaking in public and in small group settings
- Foster open communication with parents/guardians through social media, email, phone, or by other means of communication
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
