Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Primary teacher and leader.
Oversee the youth ministries and lead (and recruit) volunteers.
Maintaining a 13-month calendar with special events, lesson plans, etc.
Youth check-in on Sunday mornings
Developing relationships with youth and parents
Suggest ways to involve youth in the ministry of the church as a whole
When possible, attend graduations, sporting events, and other special events for youth
Creating a plan report for growth (both numerically and spiritually) for the youth
Occasional preaching opportunities in the main services

We realize that this is a part-time position, so the week-to-week work and hours can be very flexible to a_noemailmodate your specific situation. A successful candidate is not intended to do all the work of this ministry himself, but rather to inspire and lead others to do the work of the ministry alongside him.
You will also be working side-by-side with the senior and assistant pastors as a team and will meet regularly.

Columbus Bible Church is a loving congregation of just under 200 people in a rural setting but close to several small towns and only 10 minutes South of Port Huron.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Has a history of youth leadership and/or involvement in a local church
Must meet the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5.
High School Diploma
Must have a respectable social media presence (eg. no cussing, no inappropriate images, no posts intended to stir up controversy, etc). If married, both parties are subject to this requirement. (social media presence is not required)
Must submit to and be in agreement with the Columbus Bible Church's Constitution and Statement of Faith.
Able to pass a background check

Bachelor's degree in related field.
An established doctrinal statement for the board's review
Married (children are a bonus!)
