Discipleship through Worship and Creative Arts Job - Riverwood Chapel, Kent, Ohio

This position is a full-time pastor (or director working towards b_noemailing a pastor) position and reports directly to the Lead Pastor and Executive Director of Business and Ministry Affairs.

This position's most significant priority is to work alongside the Lead Pastor to weekly produce an excellent Worship Service that honors our Lord. To a_noemailplish this overarching goal, it is imperative that time and energy is set aside to build and maintain a dynamic relationship with the Lead Pastor as he will also prioritize with you.

Below are details of producing the Sunday worship services as well as additional responsibilities of this position:

Worship and Creative Arts Ministry Responsibilities:
Oversee a_noemailplete and_noemailprehensive music program facilitating the congregation's participation in authentic worship and praise by:
o Picking out worship songs/arrange music as needed.
o Scheduling the order of service.
o Provide practice music to musicians in a timely manner.
o Schedule and lead rehearsals for worship team, worship band, orchestra when applicable.
o Assign Scripture readers when applicable.
o Run weekly choir rehearsals during the school year and schedule their performances approximately quarterly plus special services.
o Manage personnel who produce slides, project slides, record service video (and then render and upload it), run sound, as well as manage the service production manager.
o Manage required licenses.
Design and implement special services including but not limited to Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, and special event or_noemailmunity services.
Oversee the design and implementation of creative arts expressions of meaningful worship. This could include but not be limited to: visual arts, youth worship opportunities, special event orchestras, drama, etc.
Recruit, audition, train, schedule, equip and disciple volunteers and leaders by shepherding spiritual growth in this ministry area_noemailmunity.
Oversee and coordinate the purchase, maintenance and operation of multi-media, sound, lighting and music technology.
Develop annual ministry plan and budget.

Attend weekly Core leadership meeting as well as staff prayer/ministry meeting.
Be available for additional service needs (funerals, weddings, offsite baptisms, etc.).
Be available to visit congregation members in the hospital who are in your ministry area or who are assigned to you by the Care Pastor.
Be present at all all-church events as outlined by the Lead Pastor.
Communicate and work with other Riverwood staff members and boards as needed for overall Riverwood ministry and facility needs providing worship data for the website, brochures or other_noemailmunications as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
