Job Description:

The Contemporary Worship Leader is an experienced, musically gifted worship leader who oversees and directs the contemporary worship team and all those with whom they lead into worship to love God, love others, and make disciples.

Lead the contemporary worship team in services as lead vocalist
Supervise, recruit, develop & lead the worship band
Oversee the graphic slideshow for Worship
Work with the pastors to connect song selection and overall direction of the service
Set standards for musical excellence and lead worship team practices
Attend all required staff meetings (either via zoom or in person following pandemic)
Lead contemporary worship during additional church services as required.

Additional Skills/Requirements Desired:
A strong desire to help others experience God through a worshipful experience
Is we_noemailing, available, kind and_noemailpassionate
Effective_noemailmunications skills, both written and verbal, as well as listening skills
Experience with managing musicians
Flexibility
Has knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Pro Presenter and Planning Center for Contemporary Worship

 

About Saint Andrews-Covenant Presby:

This is a 15-20 hour per week position and reports to the Director of Music and Senior Pastor. St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian church is over 100 years old and located in historical downtown Wilmington, NC. It is a coastal church with wonderful, open-minded, Christian followers. Qualifications:

General Responsibilities:
Lead congregation as the lead vocalist in a contemporary band each Sunday and during special services.
Continue to grow as a disciple of Jesus in every aspect of life
Raise up and empower leaders for the church
Participate in a team environment with the staff to love and serve SACPC
Direct all ministry duties in line with the vision and mission of SACPC
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor or their designate
Connect with the congregation at Sunday services and during other gatherings.
