Job Description:
The Rock Church in Sparks, Nevada is seeking to hire a Senior Teaching Pastor. This position will work closely with the current Lead/Executive Pastor, church staff, leadership team and other key ministry leaders to continue and develop the vision of a grace-based, inclusionary, and affirming ministry.
The Senior Teaching Pastor will partner with the Lead/Executive Pastor, Leadership Team, and staff to establish,_noemailmunicate, and implement ministry vision/mission, strategies & goals. This position will also serve as a key leader in crafting The Rock's specific service and outreach ministries.
The successful candidate must possess outstanding skills in the following areas: teaching_noemailmunicating, staff encouragement, ministry vision, and a thorough, detailed understanding of weekend service programming. This candidate will draw from the integrity and stability of his/her faith to lead by example and shepherd The Rock_noemailmunity.

Lead & Teach: The Senior Teaching Pastor shall weekly lead and teach with the intent of encouraging all people to b_noemaile faithful citizens of The Rock, not merely attenders or members.
Foundation & Cornerstones: The Foundation & Cornerstones of the Senior Teaching Pastor's ministry at The Rock will embrace Christ as the foundation of the church and encourage four primary Citizenship responsibilities.

The Requirements
Essential qualities of the individual fulfilling the Role and Responsibilities of the Senior Teaching Pastor of The Rock Church should be:
Character: Must embrace and exhibit the character qualities of an overseer as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
Competency: Must be able to plan, formulate, and deliver "theme-driven" messages/sermons weekly and develop teaching series' that embrace the genuine felt needs and spiritual needs of the people who call The Rock home.
Chemistry: Must be able to work with a diverse spectrum of ministry staff, volunteer leaders, and leadership team.
Collaborator: Must embody the skills necessary to operate in a consensus driven ministry. No one person sets the vision, mission, philosophy, and direction of The Rock. It's done by working as a team until like-mindedness is a_noemailplished. Additionally, the position requires an individual who is approachable and we_noemailing to others.
