High School Minister Job - Northeast Christian Church, Louisville, Kentucky

Ministry Role: This position focuses on providing leadership for the High School Ministry at Northeast Christian Church. This includes working with staff members involved in this ministry, volunteers of this ministry, and care for the students and families participating in this ministry.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Leadership:
Cast the vision for High School ministries and implement that vision.
Develop a volunteer structure that demonstrates leadership and leadership growth opportunities within the High School ministry.
Encourage youth to develop leadership abilities both in and outside the church.
Equip, train, and develop adult leaders to lead in various ministry aspects.
Take opportunities to develop the High School ministry within the present structure of the church both in person and digitally.
Build and maintain strong relationships with paid and non-paid leaders.
Develop and track annual budgets for High School Ministries.

2. Ministry Programming:
Serve High School ministries in the following ways: Outreach Events, On Campus Presence, Digital presence, Weekly Worship services, Weekly Small Groups, Special Events, Student Leadership and Volunteer Leadership.
Collaborate with the Student Worship Leader to develop the weekly High School service.

3. Communications:
Attend all staff and team meetings.
Provide timely_noemailmunication regarding the High School Ministry to appropriate parties (i.e. parents, congregation, website, etc...).
4. This position requires someone_noemailpetent in staff management, recruitment and development. An ability to evaluate, assign/reassign, and instruct adults working in this field is a must.
5. To work closely with all other members of the church staff, effectively uniting with and_noemailplementing other church ministries.
6. To teach and guide families in establishing and maintaining Christian homes that honor the Word of God.
7. To guide the church youth in cultivating a burden for non-Christians and designing and implementing effective outreach strategies.
8. To get to know and establish a positive relationship with students in the congregation.
9. To set a good example in the areas of relationships,_noemailmitment, follow-through and responsible living.
10. To model high standards in your own personal, family, and devotional life. Maintaining a good example in your relationships with others, studying, praying, and tithing.
11. To serve as a resource for parents and students when appropriate within the ministry's structure of pastoral care.
