Youth & Worship Minister
Job Description:
First Baptist Church of Sealy (FBCS) is a church family that values scripturally rooted teaching, heartfelt worship, and loving our brothers and sisters in Christ while establishing an effective witness to the_noemailmunity. Established in 1876, FBCS continues to stand firm in proclaiming the Word of God to the Austin County area. God is working to arrange our leadership team in a way that allows our growth to continue in alignment with the FBCS mission statement: Loving God, Loving Others, Loving the World. We are seeking an experienced individual with a clear calling to our church who will lead and_noemailanize our Youth & Worship ministries. These ministry programs integrate fellowship, worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and evangelism into all activities. This position will report directly to the Senior Pastor. The Applicant should demonstrate a personal and growing relationship with God, a teachable spirit, and a healthy family life. They must be a Spirit‐led follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrate an everdeepening personal relationship with Him through spiritual disciplines, and exhibit a passion for youth and worship ministries.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Create and lead execution of a long‐term, church aligned vision for First Baptist Church of Sealy's Youth ministry
-Plan and lead worship services in consultation with the Senior Pastor and do so with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological
accuracy, and musical appropriateness
-Oversee media preparation, presentation, sound, and lighting
-Support integration of youth ministry into all phases of church life to create a culture that is intentionally intergenerational, striving to_noemailplement other church ministries
- Promote an environment where youth feel connected to each other as a church family
- Provide biblical counseling and spiritual direction to youth
- Maintain contact with students and parents, keeping them informed of ongoing activities
- Provide updates on ministry strategies and plans in a way that encourages partnership and involvement
- Foster cross‐collaboration between ministries and area churches
- Responsible for both youth and worship ministry budgets

Qualifications:
-Able to clearly communicate personal testimony of conversion experience and show evidence of a personal relationship with Christ (John 15:5)
- Comfortable vocally leading worship
- Experience in communicating God's Word to gatherings of students
- Skilled in organization, administration, and interpersonal relationships
- Self‐motivated and able to work without close supervision
- Proficient in at least one instrument, preferably keyboard or guitar (Strongly Preferred)
- Experience in Leading worship gatherings (Preferred)
- Experience in Worship Ministry (Preferred)
- Experience in Youth Ministry (Preferred)
- Seminary Graduate (Preferred)
