Senior/Teaching Pastor
Job Description:
The qualified candidate will preach the Gospel of God through Jesus Christ, our Lord. The main duties of the Teaching Pastor will be expository preaching in weekly worship services, working with our ministry directors, and helping our Elders shepherd the congregation. He will conduct worship services that deliver sermons which consistently teach Biblical truth with clarity, knowing that rightly divining the Word of Truth is applicable to everyday life, and useful for equipping the saints for the work of the service to building up the body of Christ. (Eph. 4:11-13)
The Candidate will serve as an active member of a Board of Elders, to work with the Elders to shepherd and counsel the congregation, act as advisor in all phases of church life, and to promote the spiritual welfare of the church and congregation.
Some of the additional duties will include joining with the Elders in visiting the sick and shut-in members of the congregation, the needy, and to oversee the examination and instruction of all candidates for membership of the church. Other_noemailmonly performed pastoral duties include performing weddings, conducting funerals, and other duties traditionally associated with pastors.

About Piqua Baptist Church:
Our church has approximately 100 in regular attendance and is located in Piqua Ohio. We are a long-established local church with a history in the Piqua community that extends over 200 years. There is currently a great opportunity to experience congregational growth.
The church building is currently debt-free. Facilities include a large sanctuary with office and classroom space, and educational wing with several classrooms, a fellowship hall/gymnasium and full kitchen facility. There is also an outlying barn, and the church owns a 15-passenger van.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have five years of experience as a teaching and preaching pastor. We prefer a candidate with a seminary degree or a Bachelor's degree in a theology-related discipline.
