Worship Leader Job - HomeChurch, Inc., Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

The Worship Leader will lead praise and worship that emphasize a variety of elements and styles that focus on giving all glory to God and inspire the HomeChurch_noemailmunity to full participation with the purpose of leading people in a growing and Spirit-filled relationship with Jesus Christ. The Worship Leader will also develop a worship department that demonstrates a passion for Christ and His Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry.

Worship will be Spirit-led contemporary and geared towards younger adults. Openness to reasonable spontaneity is encouraged. Worship music should align with the examples of Hillsong United, Elevation Worship, Upperroom, Bethel, Mosaic, Red Rocks Worship, and The Belonging Company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Work with the Lead Pastor, Communications Director, and Production Director to create unique and powerful worship services.
-To coordinate and direct all musical aspects of the worship services.
-Lead band, singers, and congregation in worship at weekly Sunday morning worship services.
-Coordinate and direct any necessary rehearsals; weekly evening rehearsals/extra service rehearsals (i.e. Christmas & Easter) and pre-service warm-ups.
-Assist and mentor Youth Ministry Worship Leader in planning and executing Youth worship services when needed.
-Purchase/download required sheet music, chord charts and tracks needed for selected music via iTunes, CCLI, SongSelect, Praise Charts, Multitracks_noemail and Playback.
-Be technically proficient with Proclaim, Planning Center Online, Ableton, building tracks, etc.
-Work closely with the Lead Pastor to synchronize worship with sermon messages and series, and then_noemailmunicate topics and direction to worship team in preparation for worship rehearsal.
-Select,_noemailanize and input all music related information such as dates, teams, vocal assignments, musicians, songs, keys, sequences, and music tracks (MP3's, etc.); and to set up schedules and send out reminders through Planning Center Online_noemailputer program.
-Work with Production Director concerning periodic review of all instruments to make sure that they are in good working order. Major repair or purchase of instruments require approval from the Lead Pastor.
-To plan and execute all special holiday and event worship services.
-Stay within the budgeted amount for worship team expenses.
-Attend and participate in all weekly staff meetings as required.
-Plan vocal and band workshops for the team to encourage continuing education and development in all areas of music.
-Determine and implement successful means of greater recruitment and more excellent musicianship.
-Develop an audition process that will set-up the worship team candidate and the worship team for success.
-Train,_noemailmunicate, and lead-by-example during weekly practices the importance of group/corporate times of prayer, and worship together as a team (outside of weekly services on-stage).
-Cultivate greater unity in the worship team by being a humble servant-leader that cares for the team's overall well-being, enjoys doing life with them, and_noemailmunicates often.
-Inspire teamwork, which leads to idea sharing, creativity, and excitement.
-Organize and execute planned team monthly hangouts to have fun, worship together, and for prayer – a time of_noemailmunity.
