We are excited for the next season of Children's Ministry at New Life and are anxious to see who God has prepared to provide leadership in that season. May He give you discernment as you explore this ministry opportunity and seek future direction for your life and calling!

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Owner of the Children's Ministry development, direction, and execution
- Cast vision and set yearly ministry goals in alignment with New Life and Next Gen Team
- Plan and execute weekly gatherings (Sunday morning and AWANA) and special events in alignment with the vision and direction
- Observe, evaluate, and adjust ministry for effectiveness
- Chief culture officer who cultivates a fun environment that loves Jesus, children, and families of all nations

2. Provide team leadership for the Children's Ministry
- Oversee, develop, and evaluate paid Children's Ministry staff: Elementary Coordinator (18 hours), Early Childhood Coordinator (7 hours), New Life Kidz Intern (5 hours)
- Recruit, develop, and shepherd disciple-making volunteers: AWANA leaders, Sunday class teachers and helpers, nursery workers, event volunteers, etc.
- Appropriately delegate responsibilities

3. Provide practical and administrative leadership to the Children's Ministry
- Children's Ministry planning, organizing, and scheduling
- Check and approve all curriculum used
- Develop systems that streamline the ministry
- Design and update posters, announcements, bulletin boards, and emails
- Responsible planning, spending, and accountability of a $16,000 budget
- Communicate effectively and timely to parents, volunteers, and staff

4. Provide ministry care to children and their families: praying, visiting, coaching, and discipling

5. Oversee, communicate, and enforce the church's approved child protection policy and safety protocols
- Ensure the safety of every child who is entrusted to the Children's Ministry
- Organize systematic cleaning of toys
- Update the New Life Child Protection Policy when needed
- Run all adult background checks for both Children's and Youth Ministry
- Know and train safety protocols such as fire, severe weather, lockdown, etc.
- Cancel ministry when needed due to weather

Other Responsibilities:
- Contributing team member of the Next Gen Team (one meeting per month for a total of 2 hours)
- Attend all-staff meetings (twice per month for a total of 2 hours)
