Job Description:
The Lead Pastor is the spiritual leader and overseer of Judson Church. As such, he is to lead the congregation to accomplish our mission of making disciples in Joliet, Illinois. The Lead Pastor is to give biblical guidance, instruction, and encouragement so that the church can fulfill its purpose. At all times he has the responsibility to maintain a Godly influence in the church and in the community.
We desire a Lead Pastor who has a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to scripture as it pertains to families, shepherding, discipleship, and evangelism.
It is recognized that many of his responsibilities may be delegated to others as he helps them to develop their giftedness and to grow as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lead Pastor's job duties include, but are not limited to supporting and guiding:
**a ministry of preaching and teaching the Word of God,
**a ministry of administration,
**a ministry of outreach and community leadership,
**a ministry of stewardship, and
**a ministry of pastoral care.

About Judson Church:
Judson Church is a non-denominational, independent Bible Church in Joliet, Illinois 60435 with Baptist roots. Joliet, IL is the third-largest city in Illinois. Judson Church is searching for an experienced and ordained Lead Pastor to lead our congregation. Judson Church is committed to the truth and integrity of scripture, evangelism at home and abroad, growth in knowledge and application of scripture, fellowship, and unity among a congregation of varied backgrounds and ages. Judson Church is a congregation lead church with elected officers, shepherds/elders, deacons, missions, and educational and discipleship committees. We have an average attendance of 200-250, active youth programs, a Wednesday night children's program, Sunday School classes, women's and men's ministries, small groups, a food pantry twice per month, an online streaming service, and we support missionaries both domestic and abroad.
