The successful candidate must be_noemailmited to the doctrinal beliefs and mission statement of Fairway Christian Church and must be_noemailmitted to the ideas embraced by what has been historically known as the Restoration Movement.
The Associate Minister for Discipleship will develop and implement a Discipleship Strategy including, but not limited to:
Developing a_noemailprehensive discipleship/education strategy for the Church that aligns with our goal of fulfilling the great Commission found in Mathew 28:18-20--make disciples.
Creating a sustained culture of discipleship that consistently challenges people through teaching, modeling, mentoring, coaching, and serving that will help us present everyone mature in Christ (Col 1:28)
Giving primacy to the Word of God in your efforts to implement a strategy and promote a sustaining culture of discipleship making
As part of the Application of this Strategy the following must be included:
Lead out with the Preaching Minister to develop, envision and promote ways in which the majority of the church can b_noemaile a part of Life Groups
Recruit, empower, develop, mentor, train and equip potential Life Group Leaders
Develop the language, vision, and structure for all ongoing and/or periodic classes, seminars, and special classes that will provide for our church members to move from spiritual infancy to maturity.
The Discipleship minister is expected as needed, to be involved in the teaching of classes, series of classes, and special seminars, etc. as needed in order to fulfill the churches discipleship strategy.

Possess at minimum a bachlor's degree from an accredited Bible College, Seminary, or University
Have a minimum of three years experience as a member of the ministerial staff at a local church
Able to effectively and enthusiastically serve as a team member with a positive attitude, exhibit a good work ethic and te a self motivated individual
Able to teach and preach effectively
Possess leadership skills, experience in developing, participating in, and leading teams
Possess excellent organizational and relational skills.
