Lead Pastor
Job Description:
We are looking for a Lead Pastor who exemplifies a godly character. We desire a man who is capable of_noemailmunicating the Word in a_noemailpelling, clear way, a man who is_noemailfortable leading and shepherding the church to the end that reproducing followers of Christ are developed. He shall be in full agreement with, and support, Boulder Mountain Church's Constitution and Statement of Faith. The following are priorities we consider primary for the man who takes on the responsibility of pastor.
Preaching (1 Tim. 5:17; Eph. 4:12-13)
We see the weekly preaching of the Word as a high priority of our Lead Pastor. Applicational, exegetical preaching has the power to transform lives. As part of this, it is our desire that our Pastor have sufficient time carved out of his schedule for his own spiritual enrichment and refreshment so that he might experience continued growth in his own relationship with the Lord. Consequently, the planning and preparation for weekly preaching, and the personal prayer and Bible study that support that activity, are of a high priority.
Leading (Titus 1: 5-9; 1 Tim. 3: 1-7)
We look to our Lead Pastor, working collaboratively with the Elders, to develop and maintain vision and keep it before us as a congregation. In his oversight of staff, and interaction with the Elder Board, he must build a "team" environment and motivate people to achieve our Mission Statement.

Our Lead Pastor helps to create the environment envisioned in our Mission Statement. He builds us into a_noemailmunity and nurtures us in faith and walk. A pastor needs to be with the people, love the people, and nurture the people, who in turn follow his leadership.

About Boulder Mountain Church:
For over 40 years Boulder Mountain Church has been teaching and preaching God's Word in our community. Boulder Mountain is a small, multi-generational and multi-ethnic family. We have members that now count 3 generations attending. We are a Berean type of ministry that is very committed to the authority of God's Word. Worship style is casual. Theology is conservative. Guests are made to feel welcome in a very family-friendly atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Male
Ordained minister, or willing to be ordained
Full agreement with Bylaws and Doctrinal Statement
Meets biblical qualifications of an elder
Spiritually mature (knowledge of the Word, devotion to prayer, godly lifestyle)
Effectively understands and utilizes his spiritual giftedness
Evidence of a fruit-bearing life (Gal. 5:22, 23)
Heart for the Great Commission and the Great Commandment
Effective biblical preacher/communicator
Visionary and motivational leader
Ability to form consensus and be a team player
Minimum of four-year year undergraduate degree
Prior pastoral experience in an organized church
Demonstrates an amiable and engaging personality (people person)
