Job Description: This is a Senior Pastor position to serve the Lord with a passion and sincere love for God in preaching, pastoral care, and leadership. This ministry is to promote growth in relationship with the Lord, relationships with one another and outreach to the lost. The purpose is to glorify God in word, worship and daily lives.
Compensation: Currently we can offer a total pay-package of $10,000 to $19,000 per year, based on experience &/or need. Because of this, we expect that our pastor will be bi-vocational or retired. The pastor's salary will continue to be re-evaluated as the congregation grows.
Church Beliefs: We believe in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, Who had a supernatural birth, Who spoke supernatural words, Who performed supernatural miracles, Who lived a supernatural life, Who died a supernatural death, Who rose in supernatural power, Who ascended in supernatural splendor, Who intercedes as a supernatural priest and Who will one day return in supernatural glory to establish a supernatural kingdom on the earth.
Our view of the Senior Pastor: He must be a licensed / ordained minister that also legally able to perform marriages in WV. He must live a lifestyle consistent with the teachings in the books of Timothy and Titus. He must attend no less than 80% of all services. Faith Gospel will only allow males to run for the office of Pastor. The pastor will not be permitted to b_noemaile a member of Faith Gospel Church unless he first relinquishes his office of the Pastor. The Pastor will be required to facilitate all business and election meetings.

About Faith Gospel Church:
The congregation of Faith Gospel first assembled in 1993, when a number of Christians decided to leave Cedar Grove Freewill Baptist Church. The original location of the first church building was in a remodeled store in Mineral Wells, WV. The earliest records show them having a formal service on September 26th, 1993. Faith Gospel continued to assemble at the Mineral Wells location until Easter Sunday, 1997. On that day the church had its grand opening service at the current site on Lost Pavement Road. Faith Gospel Church was totally independent until February 12th, 1994, when the church body voted to join the Scioto Valley Christian Conference. This conference of churches was a fellowship of various non-denominational churches throughout southern Ohio and West Virginia. Faith Gospel remained in the Scioto Valley Conference until October 2000. In February 2001 the church body approved the existing Articles of Faith, Rules and Practices, and Church Covenant (by-laws).
Qualifications:
The Senior Pastor will work within the vision and mission of Faith Gospel Church, under the direction of the Holy Spirit and the Leadership Team (Deacons & Trustees). He will provide leadership for planning and coordinating of activities, functions, and events of Faith Gospel Church. He is expected to be the leader and to provide the guidance necessary to get the most and best results from the ministry programs. His life must be a model that demonstrates he is a faithful Christian, husband and/or father. He must set a proper example of Christian behavior at all times. The Senior Pastor will partner with church leaders, staff, and membership to ground the congregation in the foundations of faith so that they may mature as church leaders and committed followers of Christ.
