The Tabernacle Bible Church is seeking a full-time Pastor for our Wichita, Kansas congregation. Our church, established in 1881, has a current membership of approximately 1,500. We are ready to experience steady spiritual and physical growth.

The members of Tabernacle understand the importance and need for sound Biblical Training from both the Old and New Testaments. We appreciate and demonstrate the experience of worshipping through the inspiration of music, and highly encourage the continued collaboration among the Pastoral Ministry and the Music Ministry in the development of Worship Services. Additionally, we desire to restructure and strengthen our internal Christian Education Program, and in doing so, develop and implement a Community Outreach Ministry that will lead to the growth of the congregation.

Tabernacle is seeking a Pastor who possesses a strong commitment to Biblical Preaching and Teaching and its application. We are looking for an individual who is energetic and can articulate their vision for the church. Tabernacle has always placed a special emphasis on our children and youth. We are seeking a Pastor that will continue and even enhance that. Additional Expectations: a strong commitment to community involvement; a proven record of management that demonstrates organizational skills, encourages team work, and the ability to work and communicate effectively and harmoniously with church ministries and the leadership team.

Minimum Academic Qualifications: The candidate must be licensed and ordained; a Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Biblical Studies from an accredited college/university/seminary is a plus, but not required; have served as a pastor or assistant pastor; and have demonstrated a successful working relationship with their congregation. Also, the candidate must demonstrate a passion to serve as a Shepherd to the congregation, that is, providing counseling, facilitate and/or be involved with calls and visits with church members that are in the hospital, nursing home, and/or homebound. In addition, provide any duties that meet the needs of the congregation.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead by example and facilitate programs to reach members who are experiencing crisis situations, inactive members, and all people beyond our church body. Finally, the candidate must be willing to embrace and execute the faith of the Tabernacle Bible Church and the Constitution and By-Laws of our church.
