Job Description:
At LC:242 the Senior Pastor is primarily tasked with preaching, teaching, and shepherding our members with the assistance of the Administrative Committee and collaboration with the Elder Board. This is an executive position, although the Administrative Team is tasked with managing the administrative aspects of the church.
The Senior Pastor will guide, lead and protect the congregation as he ministers to the flock with the goal of fulfilling our Vision and Mission.

About Life Church 2:42:
LifeChurch 2:42 (LC242) is a small body of believers located in Forestburg, Texas. Just like its name, the city is surrounded by forests and provides a very scenic location, at least with respect to most Texas locales. Our Body has recently accepted the resignation of our lead, Senior Pastor, and is thus searching for God's choice to fill the role. Currently we are operating the church like a LifeGroup, with video sermons/ teachings/group discussions following and occasional preaching. In keeping with Acts 2:42, we break bread at each Sunday night meeting, enjoying each other's fellowship and creating strengthening relationships with each other and Jesus.
Qualifications:
Biblical Qualifications: 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus1:5–9.
A biological male.
A person of integrity and worthy of the respect of those both inside and outside the church (above reproach, respectable, blameless, upright, holy, loves what is good, have a good reputation with outsiders).
Self-controlled (be temperate, disciplined).
Not an abuser of alcohol (or other substances by extension and by inference) (not given to drunkenness).
Hospitable. He must be able to welcome people into his home and life.
Able to deal with people in a respectful way (not violent, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not overbearing, not quick-tempered).
A good husband (faithful to his wife) and a good father (a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild or disobedient. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect.)
