Liberty Church is a vibrant, growing congregation in Sterling Heights, Michigan. We built a new facility in 2020 with a vision and focus to reach young families and transform a generation for Christ. We are seeking a creative couple or individual that is passionate about ministering to children to lead our Sunday morning LC Kids service. Liberty Church was founded in 1994 by current lead pastor, Terry Frazier. We have experienced great stability and a solid history of changing lives with the love of God. We are passionate about pursuing the presence of God, learning His Word, and experiencing His miraculous power. Qualifications:
Must have a vision for families and ministry specific to their children's needs.
A knowledge of God's Word with a calling and ability to teach it creatively to kids.
The ability to supervise and motivate people of all ages.
A visible hunger and passion for God.
Must display Biblical character and morals in all facets of life.
Must possess organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
A desire to strive for personal and ministry excellence.
Must pass a background check
Responsibilities:
Oversee weekly program for kids where the Word of God is creatively taught and children are engaged in worship and challenged to grow in their relationship with God.
Recruit, train, inspire, schedule, and meet with volunteer workers to assist in ministry to children.
Maintain a check-in system and a secure environment for children and families.
Work within church budget to seek and secure necessary equipment and materials to enhance the programs. This should also include materials that would assist in furthering your education and knowledge of family ministry.
Research ministry and cultural trends and work to incorporate them in a way that is consistent with the vision and values of Liberty Church.
Attend adult services and functions.
Communicate with the Pastor regularly to discuss the vision, plans and goals of your ministry. Work to develop a plan to achieve these goals.
Give reports and input into church leadership meetings and services.
Strategically plan, promote, and supervise occasional outreaches, ministries, or activities for the purpose of connecting children, teens and families, promoting growth, and strengthening commitment.
Follow up with kids and families for the purpose of encouragement and accountability.
Support and adhere to the doctrine and vision of Liberty Church.
Uphold and show support to the church at all times through prayer, tithing, and attitude.
