Our Director of Worship Ministries will design meaningful worship gatherings which promote our stated purpose of "Helping people to know, love, and become like Jesus Christ." A successful Worship Director will understand that worship is for the active participation of all worshipers (multigenerational, multicultural, and varied ability). To this end, the Director of Worship Ministries will embody a vital relationship with Jesus, a passion for the Gospel, and a drive to see searching people brought into relationship with Jesus Christ.

Description of Duties:
Plan and lead Sunday worship gatherings in coordination with Senior Pastor
Oversee logistical details and worship team scheduling
Lead weekly (currently Thursday evening) and Sunday morning rehearsals
Identify and utilize effective use of technology and media tools
Create Sunday worship service presentation in Proclaim
Ensure tech team is equipped and trained
Maintain worship ministry equipment
Ensure tech, audio, and stage needs are met for special events (ie. weddings, funerals)
Attend weekly staff meetings
Manage worship ministry budget

Minimum Requirements:
An increasing devotion and delight in Christ
Ability to articulate an accurate and foundational understanding of Biblical theology
Skill in reading music and understanding basic music theory
Strong vocal ability with preferred proficiency in a lead instrument (ie. guitar or piano)
Experience with live sound equipment
Administrative and organizational skills
Ability to instruct, coach and encourage worship team participants
Alignment to MCF statement of faith and core values

Ability to foster positive relationships that build community within the worship team members and church
