At CrossPoint, worship is more than the music before a sermon. Worship happens beyond the walls of the church every day. The responsibility of the Worship Leader is to lead others in living lives of worship, continually praising God for His love and goodness. You are:

Devoted Christian passionate about leading people to Christ that enjoys leading music and speaking on stage

Have strong musical experience with vocal, key board, guitar, or other instruments

Organized and efficient

Working knowledge of lighting, sound equipment, and other technology to support the worship experience

An excellent communicator both orally and written

A team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude

You will be:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and spiritually leading worship experiences on Sunday mornings and special events

Working with the Pastor and staff to spiritually develop the worship service and pair the music with the weekly message/sermon

Recruiting, training, and building a worship team

An active member of the church connecting throughout the church body; for example, joining us in outreach, fellowship, Men's or Women's Groups, Wednesday night activities, and other church events

Interacting with kid and youth programs to incorporate music into Sunday School, Kids Church, and Youth activities

Planning and organizing worship experiences to meet weekly time requirements

Responsible for proposing a yearly operating budget

Responsible for maintaining sound and graphic equipment

Expected to remain in the sanctuary during the Sunday morning service between the opening praise and worship music and closing call to the alter

Strong spiritual maturity

Experience in building and leading teams

Desire to lead praise and worship with a blend of traditional and contemporary music

Ability to self-motivate and make independent decisions

High school diploma or GED
