Job Description:
Tibbetts United Methodist Church is seeking a Worship Leader to lead our contemporary band and congregation in worship during our Sunday services. Our goal is to foster a dynamic, inclusive worship culture that connects us to God and one another through the gift of music.
This role works closely with our Pastor to nurture and_noemailanize musical expression that elevates our worship experiences. As the church's Worship Leader you will engage with the worship coordinator and the other musicians, as well as lead the congregation in worship. You are expected to a_noemailplish this through various musical modes such as piano,_noemailan, choir, band, bells, soloists, etc.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and spiritually grounded. They have experience leading music groups, preferably in a church worship setting. They exemplify strong interpersonal and_noemailmunication skills. Finally, they have a heart for worship and the ability to inspire participation from the congregation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Pastor and Worship Coordinator to plan weekly worship music, selecting songs that fit the theme and style of services.
- Lead the worship band, including recruiting and developing musicians.
- Organize regular rehearsals and guide band members in worship leadership.
- Lead worship on Sunday mornings and special services, using either vocals and/or instruments.
- Engage the congregation by encouraging worship participation and teaching of new songs.
- Cultivate a we_noemailing and inclusive environment for musicians of all skill levels and backgrounds.

- Proficient in both Keyboard and Guitar.
- Ability to incorporate various musical styles into worship.
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and sound systems.
Additional Information:
- Hourly wage: $27/hr
- This part-time position requires about 10 - 15 hours per week.
- Additional time is required during the weeks leading up to special holidays and services.
- Worship services are at 10 AM Sundays.
- Background check and Safe Sanctuaries training required.

- Proficient in at least one instrument such as Piano, Guitar, etc.
- Proven ability leading and organizing a worship team, including member recruitment and development.
- Familiar with a range of contemporary and traditional Christian worship songs and hymns.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pastors, staff, and other musicians.
- Ability to plan, schedule and lead rehearsals, as well as organize music for services and special events.
- A heart for worship by clearly understanding the role of worship in the church, and is committed to fostering spiritual growth through music ministry.
