About the Youth Pastor Position:
The Youth Pastor will oversee the vision and spiritual development of Calvary Chapel Delaware County's High School and Middle School ministries (6th-12th). This role will champion a Christ-centered culture that helps students Encounter God, Connect in Community, Grow as Disciples, and Impact the World. Working closely while supervising the Middle School Pastor, to shepherd students, equip volunteers, and engage parents while developing outreach strategies to impact local schools and partner with churches in the surrounding community.
Responsibilities:
--Lead and communicate the vision, goals, and direction for youth ministry in alignment with ccdelco's mission and values.
--Oversee weekly youth gatherings, small groups, and discipleship environments for both middle and high school students.
--Serve as the primary communicator for youth services, delivering biblically sound, Gospel-centered teaching relevant to students' lives.
--Prepare students for baptism and spiritual milestones in partnership.
--Encourage youth involvement in Sunday worship, serving teams, and the broader life of the church.
--Recruit, train, and equip adult volunteers and student leaders to effectively disciple students.
--Develop strategy to maintain a strong ministry presence in local middle and high schools through events, school clubs, and relationships with school leaders.
--Organize service opportunities and outreach events that reflect Christ's heart for the community.
--Represent ccdelco youth at local school functions, sports games, performances, and community events.
--Plan and coordinate retreats, mission trips, summer camps, and large-scale youth events.
--Oversee the planning and execution of youth ministry social media and podcast content.
--Maintain clear and consistent communication through email, e-newsletters, and updated web/social media presence.
--Develop and oversee the annual youth ministry budget in coordination with the Family Pastor.
--Ensure safety protocols and best practices are in place for all student gatherings and trips.
Qualifications | Professional Skills & Experience:
--Active and growing personal relationship with The Father, Son and Holy Spirit through action, attitude, and behavior.
--Minimum of 2 years of youth ministry experience preferred.
--Experience in recruiting, motivating, equipping, scheduling, and maintaining volunteers.
--Strong interpersonal and communication skills for relating to students, parents, volunteers, and community leaders.
--Creative and strategic thinker with strong organizational skills.
--Display good character and competency and a love for God, His Word, and the presence of His Holy Spirit.
--Proficiency with basic computer software, social media, and digital tools (Google Suite, Canva, Social Media platforms), and the capacity to learn new software (Planning Center, Pro-Presenter).

--Positive, humble attitude.
--Flexible, collaborative, and eager to support others.
--Energetic, warm, and able to share the love of Jesus to youth and their families.
