Liberty Church is searching for candidates who are passionate and_noemailmitted to leading young children to a relationship with Jesus Christ and nurturing them in the faith. Liberty is located in suburban Shrewsbury, MA, 45 minutes from Boston, 1 hour from popular MA/RI/CT beaches and 3 hours from New York City. Shrewsbury is also adjacent to Worcester, MA -- the hub of UMass Health Systems and 11 universities and colleges.
Liberty Church is a unique New England congregation! The Pastor/Director of CM is an executive lead position, serving with the other lead pastors and directors to give overall direction to the church's mission. As a lead pastor/director, this individual has supervisory responsibilities over the CM Teams on both campuses though most of the effort is centered at the Shrewsbury campus (largest). Liberty's Executive Pastor is supervisor over all staff and author of "Leading the Team Based Church" (Leadership Network series) -- we operate as collaborative work teams with a lot of encouragement and support.
The Pastor/Director of CM works in a team environment with the CM teams to create and implement an high energy children's program that draws children to Jesus and attracts young families. Liberty supports the program with the best in media equipment, a media staff and new facilities with a budget appropriate for a growing program.
The CM program needs an experienced leader who understands volunteer recruitment, exhibits excellent administrative skills, and works well with others to bring about an exceptional ministry to children and families.
Applicants should have a deeply meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ, at least five years of experience in CM, understand new trends in CM, are outreach oriented and have a clear philosophy of CM.
