Ability to lead worship and to train others as individual and team worship leaders.
Participate in the general pastoral care of the congregation as called upon by the pastor.
Have the flexibility to consider and implement new and innovative methods and programs to enhance the musical ministry and worship of the church.
Engages in the life of the church, including involvement in small groups and church events.
Partner with the Pastor in the preparation of each weekly service.
Ensures that all the musical and technical aspects of the service advance the theme for the day.
Oversee song selection, media preparation and presentation, sound and lighting enhancements, and all instrumentalists and vocalists.
Lead the congregation in worship by skill and example.
Direct the set-up and tear-down of all equipment necessary for the worship service.
Provide pastoral care and leadership in the life of the worship team and church.
Oversee the worship department budget,_noemailanization, and volunteers.
Lead a weekly practice session with the worship team.
Develop and shepherd worship team members.
Has a heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation and music ministry.
Leads worship by worshiping.
Has relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a church in worship.
Has an interest and the ability to lead blended contemporary and traditional musical styles.
Preferences (not required but helpful):
Experience with technical aspects of contemporary services (sound boards, lighting, video, etc.).
Successful experience as a worship pastor.
College or seminary music and/or ministry training.
Desire to develop and improve skills worship ministry skills.
Participation in workshops, conferences, seminars is encouraged.
