Position Summary: The Worship and Arts Pastor works closely with the Senior Pastor in worship planning and carries the responsibility for the Worship Ministry Department. The Worship and Arts Pastor serves as a leader in connecting people to Exalt God above All and in bringing them to a point of experiencing life through worship.
To lead the church family in public worship that is biblical, meaningful and transcendent through the modeling, equipping and administration of various talents and gifts of both staff and lay volunteers.
Musical and presentational skills as an upfront leader of worship.
Be a lead worshipper.
Gifts as a ministry equipper and coach, administrator of people and carrier of vision.
Experience in leading Worship and Arts Ministry in the local church.
A vision to effectively lead people into worship that is reproducible in others.
A team leader, team player and a team builder.
Areas of Functional Responsibility:
Objective: Department leadership for the Worship Ministry staff and volunteers.
Manage and shepherd the Worship Ministry Staff Team.
Worship Ministry Department head, responsible for the job descriptions, performance plans, budget and collaboration with other ministry departments.
Lead the vision meetings and directional meetings for the department.
Coach and develop team of lay leaders who will aid in the basic discipleship process of the music teams.
Objective: Worship leading and planning with excellence for the church family each week.
o The leading of public worship or providing for such needs through delegation.
o Drive the planning of public worship, and assigned church-wide events.
o Develop and implement equipping strategy of worship ministry volunteers and staff, including major events as assigned.
o Research,_noemailwork and gather resources for our church in worship for planning growth and creativity in our services.
Objective: Lead and oversee the work of the entire worship team.
o Lead worship vocalists, equipping them in their ministry.
o Lead worship band, equipping them in their ministry.
o Lead drama leadership team, equipping them in their ministry.
o Provide direction and oversight to the technical team (sound, stage, etc).
