The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and oversee the safe, secure and environmentally sound operations and maintenance of the building assets of the church, which include the church facility, grounds and two parsonages. This position requires interdisciplinary management skill in facility and equipment maintenance, facility safety and security, and janitorial duties such as making sure the facility is properly cleaned and sanitized. Duties will also include the care of HVAC, electric power, plumbing and lighting systems. With the Executive Director, the Director of Facilities will ensure that policies and procedures are in place to maintain and care for all aspects of the facility, grounds, and parsonages (examples are checklists, work request system, etc.). Works independently for day to day care of the church, parsonages and grounds. Reports to and receives additional work assignments from the Executive Director. Attends Trustee Committee meetings as a staff representative. Supervises the work of and works with Facilities Technicians and any scheduled facilities volunteers.
