Christ Church is an Anglican_noemailmunity of about 340 regular attendees located in the heart of Austin, Texas about four blocks from the University of Texas. We value worship,_noemailmunity, changed lives, mission, generosity and hospitality. God has placed Christ Church in the city of Austin to be for the city of Austin.
Christ Church is a liturgical church of the Anglican tradition; we are presently under the jurisdiction of the Anglican Church of Rwanda and are moving toward full participation with the the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).
Our worship is guided by historical, biblically-based liturgy. The service is divided into two main sections: the Ministry of the Word, where we read from the Bible, listen to a sermon, and pray as a congregation, and the Ministry of the Table, where we receive Communion--bread and wine blessed in prayer--as our weekly celebration of Jesus' death and resurrection.
