For almost 90 years, Wheaton Bible Church has responded to the call to love God, grow together, and reach the world. We have followed Jesus, and the stories that God has written in and through our church are remarkable.
We believe God has given us a holy restlessness and a deep yearning to follow Jesus more fully, and a renewed sense of urgency to b_noemaile fishers of men and women (Mark 1:17). We are convinced that God is calling us to embrace the Great Commission like never before, to love our neighbors, share our personal faith stories, tell the Gospel story, and equip every believer for the work of the Gospel. Our vision is simply to be_noemailpelled by His love—to be the Church and to make disciples who themselves will make disciples both here and around the world.
Wheaton Bible Church, located 30 miles west of Chicago, is a non-denominational church of 4,000 people gathering in English and Spanish speaking congregations. We are a Gospel-driven, mission-focused church with a large local and global presence. Our_noemailmitment to the Gospel, the Word of God, and to discipleship has been the foundation of our church.
As an active church with many ministries, WBC has a lot to_noemailmunicate. We offer five Sunday morning worship services in four worship styles, along with Sunday school classes and small groups for all ages. Our ministries offer children, youth, senior adults, and everyone in between a variety of activities, Bible studies, special events, mission trips and more.
The Director of Communication leads the_noemailmunication, marketing, and design efforts of the church, and serves the individual ministry needs in a fast-paced client/agency-type relationship. The Director will work to enhance the visibility and image of Wheaton Bible Church, providing information to the congregation and_noemailmunity in effective and innovative ways. She/he is responsible for the artistic and creative identity of WBC. She/he will oversee a_noemailprehensive strategy for effectively telling the life-change stories of WBC—its people, ministries, and special events—as well as shape the WBC brand experience for a variety of internal and external audiences. She/he operates hands-on with marketing, advertising, and branding, as well as leads and develops a dynamic team engaged in promotion, digital and print/layout design, web, social media, audio and visual, media resources, event planning, and print/mail functions.
The successful candidate must have a passion for the Church and be_noemailmitted to holiness and developing her/his personal walk with God. She/he will possess a bachelor's degree in_noemailmunication, marketing, or related field, and have at least five years of experience in_noemailmunication. She/he will be a creative, collaborative and proactive leader with proven team-building and relational skills. Selected candidate must be willing to b_noemaile a member of WBC.
This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Executive Director. Benefits include health, dental, life and long-term disability insurance; paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave; and a 403(b) retirement plan.
