Oversight of Worship and Music Ministry at Connection Worship Service
Position is under the supervision of the Director of Worship & Music
A Christ-centered, mature spiritual life in consonance with Wesleyan theology

Knowledge of the structured flow of worship
Relevant education or equivalent experience
Bilingual ability (Spanish) desired
A. Plan weekly Connection Worship service in conjunction with pastoral and support staff
B. Supervise vocalists and instrumentalists for participation in worship service
C. Lead the Connection Worship service
D. Coordinate all technical requirements for the worship service
E. Maintain the Connection service music library
The Contemporary Worship Leader will function as a principal face before the Connection congregation, leading singing and occasional prayer, communicating information and, in general, acting in a pastoral capacity to that congregation.
The Connection Worship Leader should possess sufficient technological, musical and organizational skills to schedule, arrange, rehearse and present music appropriate to the service with an instrumental and vocal ensemble capable of presenting the genres of music chosen by the Leader.
The Connection Worship Leader will oversee audio/visual presentations that assist in the service, including song lyrics, scripture, liturgical texts, etc.
Beyond participation in the Sunday morning Connection Worship service, the Worship Leader
will be expected to attend a weekly, daytime worship planning session as well as lead a weekly
rehearsal with the band.
