Green Ridge Baptist Church is looking for a God-called man with theological depth and a passion for integrating that depth into the worship experience for the local church. He will need to be a man who can be an integral part in the teaching/preaching and leadership team of Green Ridge. It is very important that this person be able to be a team builder, especially in the music ministry area. He would pastor with all the responsibilities that the other Pastors have under the direction of the Lead Pastor. This Pastor would have as a major portion of his specific responsibilities that of worship/music leadership and all the various components of that role. He would be a co-leader (with the other pastors) in the overall visioning of the church and more especially in the area of discipleship. He would teach various groups and classes on campus and off as the Lord raises up opportunities. Green Ridge needs an encourager with theological soundness who will give himself to people developing quality relationships.
This man must be one with the doctrinal convictions outlined in The 2000 Baptist Faith & Message (Southern Baptist Convention). A man of great integrity who has a growing, vibrant relationship with Christ. Preference will be given to a man who has been ordained into the Gospel ministry. A seminary degree is preferred, but not required.
First and foremost, he is to be a Pastor. Experience in leading and shepherding people is a must. He must be passionate about equipping the local church theologically through both music, teaching, and mentoring. This staff member must be a Pastor/Elder in the full meaning of the word. He is a Pastor/Elder and is expected to have a concern for every component of the life of the church. He must be able to offer sound biblical counsel to people and speak life into their struggles and various situations.
Proven experience in leading corporate worship, praise teams, praise band, choirs, and other music ministries.
This Pastor must be HIGHLY ORGANIZED and able to effectively and efficiently complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and delegate when necessary. He is expected to look at the church calendar, think strategically and integrate all the aspects of church life into his thinking, adding a missional heart and mind to the thinking of the church staff.
Salary: $40k - $45k plus Full Family Health Insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
