Job Description:
First Baptist Church of Clovis is looking for a Worship Pastor/Director to provide leadership and vision in planning, conducting and evaluating a_noemailprehensive, church-wide worship ministry.

Main Duties:
-Completely oversee the worship and audio/visual ministries for all services and special events
-Lead the music worship on Sunday mornings for our Classic and Contemporary services with the -central goal of revealing Christ and proclaiming the gospel
-Meet weekly with the Teaching Team to craft meaningful worship environments
-Work with the Student Ministries Pastor and Children's Ministry Director to develop and coordinate the music ministry in their environments
-Enlist, hire, recruit, equip and train a worship team with a high standard of musical excellence and stage presence
-Enlist, train and direct sound/lighting/tech team to create the worship environments
-Coordinate, schedule and lead band and vocal rehearsals
-Educate and mentor the worship team in the biblical basis for worship and worship practices
-Equip and educate the church towards living a lifestyle of worship (Romans 12:1-2)
-Coordinate stage design and sets with the Director of Mission/Church Branding
-Assist with the development of the Worship Ministry budget and maintain accountability for the stewardship of that budget
-Continue to grow in musical skill and understanding of musical worship by pursuing continuing education
-Coordinate the maintenance and servicing of sound and lighting equipment (to include lift rentals, light replacements, general maintenance etc.)
-Humbly and cheerfully execute any additional duties as assigned
A successful candidate must b_noemaile and remain an active Mission Partner of the church, be in full agreement with the mission, vision and direction God has given the church, and will exhibit the following Character, Competence and Chemistry traits listed in order of importance:

-A dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
-A baptism by immersion
-A demonstration of the qualifications for Elders and Deacons as found in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9
-A life of integrity
-A servant heart and humility
-A willingness to adapt, learn, grow and be flexible
-A fully supportive spouse (if married)
Competence
-Proficiency in one or more instruments (piano or guitar preferred)
-Music degree preferred, but not necessary
-Possess adequate musical and technical skills and training equivalent to a college degree
-Experience in leading worship
-Strong vocal and stage presence
-Experience in recruiting and developing volunteers in all areas of worship and creative arts
-Well-developed_noemailanization skills
-Strong_noemailmunication and public speaking skills
-Ability to teach biblical truths in clear and concise ways
-Strong leadership skills
-Professionalism and strong work ethic
-Develop personal artistry through song writing, book reading etc.
-Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn:
-Software systems like Planning Center, Proclaim Presentation Software, Microsoft Office
-Sound systems (mixers,_noemailpressors etc.)
-Lighting systems

-Able to work well and efficiently in a team and individual setting
-Reliability and consistent follow through
-Relational maturity
-Maintain a sense of humor
