Routine tasks include assisting with training and leading a diverse team of student technicians; providing oversight of student techs during facility maintenance hours; supervising the multimedia_noemailponents of campus events, including chapel services, worship events, drama productions, band and orchestra concerts, dance shows, high-profile lectures, guest artist performances, student talent shows, and summer conferences; ensuring quality control of services rendered both via on-site supervision and post-event feedback mechanisms; maintaining, repairing and_noemailanizing AV systems.
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor degree in a related field or_noemailmensurate technical experience, demonstrating significant live production expertise with DMX light programming, projection, sound and video. He/she must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact on a professional basis with a wide range of constituents, particularly in planning and executing technical design needs for events. Candidate should be able to maneuver heavy objects and work with heights and confined spaces for event setup/teardown needs; he/she should also be_noemailfortable with personal_noemailputers in a Windows environment and have fluency in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of digital audio mixers, ETC lighting products and practical experience with lighting are strongly r_noemailmended. Familiarity with digital projection tools, worship presentation software, CAD, video production/editing (Adobe Creative Suite), audio engineering, Crestron control systems and other AV tools is also preferable, along with a history of basic hardware repairs, cable soldering/wiring skills and any additional technical certifications. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends year-round, to a_noemailmodate campus event schedules and program needs.
