Mason City is located in the heart of the Midwest, the middle of everywhere. We are a small, rural_noemailmunity of 2,300 people. Mason City Christian Church is non-denominational, multi-generational church family that enjoys Contemporary worship and is open to the Holy Spirit working and moving throughout. We believe the Word of God to be infallible. We have an active congregation with an average attendance between 150 and 200. We have thriving children and youth programs and see our call to reach the people of our_noemailmunity both locally and regionally. We seek to train and equip our young students and families for the battlefield. We offer several Adult and Youth Sunday school classes, small group Bible studies, and many areas of ministry for those to serve in.
The Mason City Christian Church is seeking a long term Senior Pastor who is a Bible College graduate with a BA or above and has 5 or more years of pastoral ministry experience.
Relationships:
The Senior Pastor reports to the Elders of the Mason City Christian Church. The Senior Pastor will oversee the administration and management of all areas of the congregation's ministry in consultation with Elders, Church Board, and staff. The Senior Pastor will maintain positive relationships with_noemailmunity_noemailanizations,_noemailmunity leaders and other church leaders.
The Senior Pastor shall be responsible for the management of the Ministerial Staff and build a sense of team-work as they seek God's direction for the church. The Senior Pastor will support and assist the staff/ministry leaders who have primary responsibility in the ministries of education, youth, children, and outreach. The Senior Pastor will work with the trustees to see that the facilities of the church are functional and in good repair.
Responsibilities:
Regularly preach and teach the Word of God.
Help plan for the overall worship service experience with the worship leaders.
Officiate special services- weddings, funerals, nursing home services, etc.
Provide pastoral care along with the Elders through visitation, counseling, and prayer.
Assist staff and ministry leaders in teaching children, youth, and adults in the Christian education program of the congregation.
Mentor youth minister and other volunteer teachers as required.
Equip the membership for personal evangelism and outreach.
Perform visitor follow-up.
Perform outreach in the_noemailmunity.
