Job Description:
We believe that ministry to children is a vital part of fulfilling Jesus' Great Commission. The staff and volunteers of our Kid Connection ministry work to provide opportunities for kids to learn how to love God, love others, and live wisely. At the same time, we want to do whatever we can to encourage parents in their role as the primary disciplers of their kids.
Casting Vision
Under the direction of the Executive Pastor of Family Ministry, the Children's Ministry Director will develop goals and cast vision for a children's ministry that is energetic, exciting, and – most importantly – helps children experience Jesus.
Leader of Leaders
The Children's Ministry Director also leads the Kid Connection staff as they develop volunteers with the ultimate goal of providing vibrant worship and life-changing teaching to the next generation. This person should be able to help the staff grow in their own leadership and understanding of ministry to kids.
Partnering with Parents
We believe that God made parents to be the primary spiritual influence on their kids. The Children's Ministry Director will pursue ways to encourage parents to create a faith-building environment in their home. This requires an understanding of the challenges facing our families today, as well as a firm understanding of how to apply biblical truths in everyday life.

About First Free Church:
First Free Church is full of anticipation for what God wants to do in and through us. Founded in 1983 by five families looking for a place to study God's Word, we have grown into a congregation with an average weekly attendance of 1300+ adults, teens, and children. From the beginning, we have been known for solid biblical teaching coupled with warm community. We have also had a strong focus on outreach through global missions, local service, and church planting.

Qualifications:
A four year college degree or greater in the areas of ministry and/or education.
Five years of experience leading in a large children's ministry and a proven track record
in the following areas:
o Recruiting, leading, and equipping volunteers.
o Managing staff in a ministry setting.
o Partnering with parents in the spiritual development of their children.
o Implementation of curriculum that is age appropriate and effective in teaching
children
