About St. John's Presbyterian Church:

West L.A. is a busy area filled with people longing for connection, friendship, and (often unknowingly), for God. Many find in St. John's a true family in Christ, committed to community in our diversity. In a world of polarized political and cultural tribalism, St. John's seeks to be a congregation that makes room for different perspectives. Our members might not all belong to the same political party, but we are unified in our commitment to the Good News of Jesus Christ and his transforming power. We seek to be a place that is united in the essentials and respectful in areas where prayerful Christians of good conscience might disagree. Situated on the outer belt of this large city, St. John's mission is to "Join Christ on the road, and point travelers to the Way." Our current near-term goal, Showing Christ by Serving Others, is to engage more than 60% of our congregation in joyfully sharing Jesus through concrete acts of service on the church campus and in the larger community.
