The Maine Seacoast Mission (MSM), a 113-year old organization serving the coast and islands of downeast Maine, was founded by two Congregational ministers, and while it is nondenominational and no longer affiliated with any particular church, it continues to honor and value the spiritual principles upon which it was founded.
Drawing on a $40 million endowment and generous donors, MSM provides youth programs, telemedicine, housing rehabilitation, food pantries, and college scholarships for coastal and island communities from mid-coast to Downeast Maine, and their 74-foot ship "Sunbeam" travels to many of Maine's outer islands, delivering services to address the physical and mental health needs of island residents.
MSM is seeking a new President to oversee the overall operation of the Maine Seacoast Mission. This individual will possess the creative energy, knowledge and experience to bring 21st century relevancy to a diverse faith-based nonprofit organization without losing the essence of its legacy with outer island, coastal and downeast communities.
