Director of Children's Ministries Job - Hillside Covenant Church, Walnut Creek, California

Our Need...

We are seeking an individual with a passionate heart for children and who has an unquenchable desire to lead children into a full experience with God. We are seek-ing an experienced leader who will inspire, lead and grow our children's ministry by partnering with parents, staff and the church_noemailmunity.

Qualifications:

Passion for children
Excellent_noemailmunication and relational skills
Strong administrative and leadership skills
Experience in developing staff and volunteer ministry teams
Knowledgeable in children's ministry, child development and spiritual formation
2 years of related experience; 5 years preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities:

Develop loving relationships with children and families
Create and cast vision for Children's Ministry
Choose and implement curriculum, reviewing its effectiveness
Oversee and deploy the people and financial resources
Train and supervise paid Children's Ministry staff
Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteers
Ensure safety and security of children
Provide a safe, clean, attractive, fun environment for children inside and out
Provide a loving environment for special-needs children and families
Recruit and train buddies for special-needs children
Communicate regularly with parents
Provide pastoral care, coordinating with appropriate resources
Integrate children into the larger church_noemailmunity
Work collaboratively with pastors, staff and ministry leaders
