Job Description:
Kerrville Bible Church exists to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.
KBC strives to be a God exalting, Christ honoring, Bible expositing, Gospel centered body of believers who_noemaile together to worship our Triune God as we grow in faith and godly practice through the preaching of the Word, Christ centered fellowship/discipleship and observation of His ordinances.
KBC is trusting the Lord to provide an Associate Pastor who will be able to work with our Pastor/Teacher, Worship Pastor, and the Church Elders to minister to the needs of the congregation. Especially required is the desire and ability to serve senior members of our congregation through home visits and hospital visits.

Job Duties
Church Wide:
1. Oversee Senior Care Ministry, including regular visits to shut ins and elderly members
2. Adult SS Supervisor: Organize and oversee Adult SS, recruit and train teachers, help provide content or topic direction
3. Teach Adult Sunday School on a regular basis
4. Lead and host a Sunday Evening Home Group
5. Participate in pastoral visits of church members
6. Visit and pray with sick and hospitalized
7. Sunday morning pulpit fill as requested
8. Occasional Scripture reading and pastoral prayer in morning worship
9. Other as needed
Church Growth Ministry:
1. Weekly visitor card follow up via phone call and/or visits
2. Help teach Connections Classes
3. Participate in new member interviews to help with assimilation, shepherding and discipleship of new members
4. Help handle pastoral-type phone calls and walk-ins
5. Help retain members
6. Help track down straying members
Other:
1. Participate in monthly elder meetings
2. Help with or lead funerals at pastor's discretion
3. Help pastor/teacher with training and equipping efforts (preacher/teacher training, home group leaders training, discipleship training, etc.)
4. Participate in elder-in-training sessions of potential new elders with pastor/teacher
5. Help deal with transient traffic
Expected Hours: 40+
M-F and Sunday (Church office closed on Thursdays)
Supervisor: Pastor/Teacher
Compensation: TBD

Qualifications:
1. Clear and credible testimony of conversion to Christ and obedience in believer's baptism by immersion
2. Clear call to full time vocational ministry of the gospel
3. Appropriate 4 year Bachelor's Degree from reputable Bible-believing institution; M. Div. preferred
4. Male, growing and mature Christian character, elder qualified
5. Full agreement with KBC Doctrinal Statement, Statement of Faith, By laws
6. Strong, working knowledge of the Bible with ability to preach, teach, disciple and counsel using Scripture
7. Able to perform weddings, funerals, lead Communion, teach Sunday school
8. Adequate experience on church staff or other related ministry
9. Flexible spirit; willing and able to wear multiple hats in a small church environment, displaying a servant and shepherd's heart
10. Pastoral heart for shut ins, elderly, sick; comfortable doing pastoral visits, showing compassion, leading in prayer
